From the Principal
Gothenburg Public Schools proudly serves the community of Gothenburg by providing their students a solid curriculum, quality instruction and a wide-range of extra-curricular activities. The Gothenburg’s vision statement is “Educating Students For A Better Tomorrow which we pursue on a daily basis. Additionally, we have one of the highest graduation rates in the state of Nebraska at 97%.
The mission of Gothenburg High School is to provide education through a safe, secure, drug-free and welcoming environment for all students, staff and community members. The administration is authorized and directed to adopt such regulations and take such actions as determined appropriate by the board of education to advance the mission of providing safe schools. Gothenburg High School’s dedicated and professional staff delivers effective instructional strategies to assist our students in building a solid foundation of skills and knowledge.
Activity programs at GHS will emphasize character, courage and integrity. These programs will prepare our students to assume positions of leadership as well as foster sportsmanship, life skills and development of character.
